ATHA-HITHA · A HELPING HAND, WITH THE HEART

Your donation, delivered direct to the beneficiary

Atha-Hitha connects donors directly with grassroots Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the remotest, poorest parts of Sri Lanka — no intermediaries, no overheads, 100% transparency.

AHO never handles donor funds — money goes straight to the SHG
OUR OBJECTIVE

What "Atha-Hitha" means

Atha-Hitha means "A Helping Hand… with the Heart." We facilitate donors reaching out directly to destitute communities in the remotest parts of Sri Lanka, through Self Help Groups (SHGs), without intermediaries.

There is no shortage of donors willing to help — provided their donations are fully used as intended. There is no shortage of grassroots SHGs doing the work — they simply lack a channel to the funding that's out there. Atha-Hitha is that channel.

TRANSPARENCY IS OUR MANTHRAM

Check How Transparent We Are — Before You Donate

Every project is published in full so you can decide for yourself where your money is most needed, and confirm it reached the intended beneficiary.

1
SHG submits a project
With full details and estimated costs.
2
RRCL validates it
Our Registered Respected Community Leaders confirm the need is real.
3
You choose & send directly
Donate straight to the SHG's project bank account — no intermediary.
4
Progress is published
Audit reviews and a completion report, with photos, stay on the site.
AHO never handles or requests donor funds for its own overheads — those are covered by our sponsors.
Donors are welcome to visit their SHG in person to see the impact for themselves.
